What is the Rental Process?
Renting a knee walker from eKneewalker is easy! Just let us know when you need it, and for how long. We’ll ship the knee walker to your house, and provide you with instructions on how to get started, as well as how to return the knee walker when you no longer need it as part of your recovery process.
How long do I need the Knee Walker?
If you are renting a knee walker from eKneewalker.com, a four-week minimum is required. This is less than the average amount of time doctors recommend a patient use a knee walker while he or she is recovering from injury or surgery. After the four-week time period, you may continue renting the knee walker for as long as you need! (If you know you will need it for more than 12 weeks, we recommend you buy a knee walker.)
If you aren’t sure how long you will be using your knee walker, we do have a rent-to-own option. If you find you’re renting the knee walker for longer than 12 weeks and decide you’d like to keep it indefinitely, contact us by calling (855) 662-7882 or emailing email@example.com and we will walk you through the process.
What if I need my Knee Walker longer than originally thought?
We are happy to help you throughout your recovery process. We know sometimes it takes a little longer than expected to be as strong as you were before your surgery or injury. If you need the knee walker longer than you first agreed to rent it, we can easily extend your rental. We will charge you on a weekly basis for each additional week you keep the knee walker.
How do I return the Knee Walker?
We’ve provided everything you need to return the knee walker in as few steps as possible. Simply follow the disassembly instructions, put the knee walker back in the box it arrived in, tape it up securely, and affix the prepaid UPS label to the outside of the box. Then you’ll just need to drop the box off at any UPS location. If you’d like to arrange for someone to pick the box up from your house, ekneewalker can help you with that process. (Please note: there is an additional charge for having the box picked up directly from your home. For more info, see our Terms and Conditions.)
How do I put the knee walker together?
Assembling a knee walker is easy! Instructions are included in the delivery packaging. You don’t need any tools to assemble your knee walker, and you should be ready to roll in just five minutes.
Ekneewalker is not a Medicare or Medicaid provider, and we do not file a claim on your behalf nor do we bill your insurance company for payment. We are considered an out-of-network provider (as are most knee walker distribution companies). We recommended you contact your provider directly to find out if you qualify for any type of reimbursement. In order to make this process as easy as possible for you, we provide you with a receipt via email as well as printed with your knee walker delivery. We’ve also made it easy for you to download a Letter of Medical Necessity, which you’ll need to fill out and provide to your insurance company. Your doctor’s office can help you fill out your form. You’ll also need a prescription for your knee walker from your doctor, so be sure to ask for one (along with the diagnosis codes). We cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed for your knee walker, but we do our best to provide you with all the information you need to get the process started.
